The farm and its dog kennel ...

Illumination for the doghouse (lower left corner)

So far I considered myself to be the chief paranoiac when it comes to illumination. Until I presented the best wife of all with a new building for the Susch area lately. As the doghouse was lacking an illumination, she let me know: "Oh dear, the poor dog, it will be afraid of the dark". No doubt, I had to implement a remedy instantaneously...

The Persil box - or "The license to wash"

The Persil car's gaping void finally could be terminated !
Use of the experiences gained with filling goods cars was made again when creating an adequate load for the LGB Persil car, carrying the first "white lady" scene from 1918.
The boxes show the original scenes of the boxes from 1904 (without lady), 1918 and 1924). The first "white lady" scene from 1918 is a portrait by an artist from Berlin who bought a white dress for his girl friend at Alexanderplatz, handed her a Persil box, and painted this scene on canvas then. The "white lady" then existed until the early 1960s - adapted to contemporary tastes.

Designed, printed, cut, glued.

Stimulation of road traffic

2006, week #51. Father and son stumble across a Hummer H2 die-cast model in the toy section of a hypermarket. It looks excellent and on top it's motorized, features illuminated head and rear lights and it's equipped with a RC. Even though a scale of 1:18 is indicated, it looks much more like 1:22 (the seats correspond the size of the Preiser family). Purchased.

Unpacked at home, Mr.Preiser takes seat at the steering wheel - Fits !!! Great.
A verification of the model's dimensions shows that it's 1:20.9.

2007, week #9. The same father, the same hypermarket. A Porsche Cayenne by the same manufacturer is presented in the shelf now. This kind of marketing is _un_bea_ra_ble_...
