Consumers
like illuminations, EPL-drives and the AC based drives known from the Pola- resp. Faller-portfolio can be connected directly to the switch modules.
Power is supplied via two-conductor cables (f.i. LiYz) with a cross-sectional area of 0.75mm² which are hooked up to the screw terminals of the modules' outputs.
On the consumers' part, the kind of connection depends upon the particular circumstances (directly or radial, screwed or soldered, etc.). A maximum of 2A either AC or DC is available per switch channel.
This way one can
- connect up to 40 of the common 50mA bulbs
- switch up to 3 EPL-drives at once (f.i. two signals and a turnout)
- switch relays reliably
- operate AC based drives (motors, pumps, etc.)
- do many other things
The total number of consumers which can be connected only depends upon the 24V-power supply's dimensioning.
