Details - The icing on the cake

A welcome and nice detail for decoration of public space on layouts related to the RhB are the Burri benches. According to the prototype, the model's usage on platforms and at stations suggests itself.

The kits are available in form of etched parts.

The Saxon luggage car which hit the road in June 2016 is a pretty supplement to the Ruegen coaches - suburbanized as 974-336 in Putbus.

Prior to changing the lettering the floors and some details got the correct colouring.

Baggage - in the broadest sense

The floors colouring now matches the prototype.

It might be interesting to read their minds...

But it seems to be purely official...

A LED lighting was added to the platforms, too.

The idea to turn the LGB car 40550 into a more prototypical vehicle was sparked on stumbling across a picture of the Landwasser viaduct's restoration.

The superstructure was turned by 180° so that the chute at all can be used. The platform was equipped with railings as used on a Kp-w car.

The manual crank drive was replaced with a micro gear motor (like those being used for various functions in model ships) which is fed the power via ball bearing axles from the tracks. The pickax was replaced with an elongation for the chute. Furthermore, the coupling and the buffer as well as the brake hoses were shortened.

The drum's existing colouring was the crucial factor for chosing Gutknecht, a carrier based in Kerzers (Swiss canton of Freiburg), for the new lettering.
