Pictures from summer 2008
of some trains are meant to be a mental preparation for the next springtime which we hopefully don't have to wait for a long time...
V200 entering Susch with a freigth train, Mikado is waiting to continue its journey.
Since the current projects' documentations are not yet finished, I decided
to dig out some exposures of the operations during the last summer.
It's worth to mention, that the computer in the basement took control of operations in a wide area using scheduled procedures.
On the right:
After V200 033 has passed the station of Susch, the Mikado can continue its journey to Katzhagen.

"Botany Express"
V200 033 has left the station of Susch and is heading towards the freight station with its train. The picture on the right shows it climbing the hillock near the bridge spanning the lake.
The smoke units for this engine are sitting in the basement since weeks, waiting to be mounted again after a repair.
I could imagine a decreasing number of items on the to-do-list, for a change...
The freight train consisting of a tank car, three depressed-center cars and a big beer car of a German brewery pulled by V200 033 is slowly entering the freight station.
The V200 meanwhile got a start delay circuit for analogue operations, which enables the engine's front and tail lights when the loco is standing still. Furthermore this circuit improved the sound module's behavior while the loco is standing still.
The cars showed in this picture are still waiting for a conversion: DB signs and double buffers.
The Pullmann-Express pulled by the Mikado meanwhile has reached Katzhagen.
Passengers are not urged to hurry up for getting off the train or for changing trains, but ...
... the train is heading towards the next station soon !
In the meantime the engine driver got a bit excited after he arrived with his train at the freight station.
The railway company seems to be a bit short-staffed - no dispatchers and no employees for unloading the cars !?
Also, the convoy he was advised to take over is not in the expected place ...
May be they are on strike here ?
The nostalgia express leaves Susch.
I could imagine a matching (!) dining car for this train.
A baggage car were very welcome, too.
At the freight station the enervated engine driver gave up waiting for the "ground crew".
As neither his train's freight seems to be of interest for anybody, nor a new convoy is available, he unceremoniously switched off his engine.
Some concrete is being delivered in Susch, obviously for a major project
of the local municipality...
