Pimp my ruin
The offers for "75 years of Faller" and the consequences...
The favorable offer of the ruins for the jubilee led to seriously looking for a location for the ruins. No surprise: Of course there was a place.
And there were - also no surprise - a few ways to make the model a little more attractive.
To make access to the platform more realistic, the door was cut out
and hinged with brass parts. The resulting cut-out was given a frame.
A ladder from ship modelling, suitably lengthened in two parts and railings made of brass painted in stainless steel look and a landing inside result in a functional addition.
Of course, the flag could not remain in the dark. Therefore, lighting was needed and implemented in form of a LED integrated with the top of the wall.
In the past, flagpoles made of plastic had proven to be not very durable outdoors. The same applies to the flags themselves. Accordingly, a brass mast with a changeable flag was created.
Let there be light...
The tower of the ruin should be illuminated in the dark - but unfortunately BRAWA no longer produces the spotlight in the right size. So had to improvise...

Now put the spotlight on the base...
... and there was light !
After the onset of spring, the mound next to the watermill will be remodeled, where the ruin will find its place.
