Metamorphosis
Commissioner Coin Cidence discovered a surplus bodyshell of a Ge4/4 II with rectangular head lights at a British garden railway enthusiast and so it occured to me to transform one of my green Ge4/4 II into the latest version of a red Ge4/4 II...
Repaint in red, supplementation of missing parts, a new lettering - and most likely some more work...
A first small step ...
... on the way to go. The prototype in Davos in July, 2010.
The new lettering is almost done...
... and the old one will soon be gone.
This print proved to be extremely persistant.
Shadows of the past... will vanish after sanding.
Lacking the required hardware for printing decals in white and silver, I had to order these letterings which arrived a couple of days ago. A new varnish can now be applied - but not before sanding the body shell and applying a new basic colour then.
