RhB signal bells
The signal bells notifying voyagers of a train's arrival are history since a couple of years on most RhB stations, but the kit of these bells made by Baumann is a real eye-catcher and a wonderful enrichment for every layout related to the RhB.
The kit's parts are made from tin (centrifugal casting) and brass which are easy to put together. The picture on the right shows the raw models ready to be painted. After applying a primer painting is done with two colours - aluminum and black. A final semi-glossy coat protects the models.
Since the models are made to scale they could not be mounted close to the station building which is a tad too small. Hence they were placed a bit beside the building.

"Always better..."
... is Miele's slogan.
This even is valid for the LGB Miele boxcar after being loaded with corresponding scale boxes for appliances like washing machines, stoves and dish washers.
A colour laser printer was used to print the previously composed graphics on thin cardboard (180g/sqm). The edges require some refinishing since the toner tends to chip off a bit along the bent edges.
Put onto Busch pallets and lashed with suitable packing straps, the boxes make for a pretty realistic load.
